Chief Aviation Engineer
Camarillo, CA
40hrs per week
M-F 8am-5pm
Salary Range: $140,000
Job Duties:
Aircraft Design & Maintenance: Lead and direct design, and certification of custom aircraft according to customer specifications and principles of aeronautical engineering; Oversee inspection, maintenance, modification, demilitarization, and certifications of Sikorsky S-70 & UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters, AW139, Bell 205/212/407/412, and Eurocopter AS350/355;Direct maintenance and quality control for aircraft engines including GE700, PT6 Series, and Rolls-Royce 250 Series
Quality Assurance & Compliance: Implement design quality and inspection programs for aircraft modifications; Ensure compliance with FAA Part 145 and applicable international aviation standards
Leadership & Oversight: Manage hangar and field operations including maintenance scheduling, parts logistics, technical documentation, certifications, and international export processes; Provide leadership and guidance to engineering teams, including hiring, training, and performance reviews;
Communication: Liaise with regulatory authorities, OEMs, suppliers, and customers to ensure efficient project execution; Provide technical guidance to Senior Management to minimize downtime, maximize reliability & profits, and conduct long-term strategic planning.
Required Experience:
Forty eight (48) months of experience as Chief Engineer overseeing maintenance of rotary and fixed wing aircraft
FAA A&P Certification;
Airframe Certifications: Sikorsky UH-60/S-70; AW139; Bell 205/212/407/412, AS350/355
Engine Certifications: GE 700 Series Engine; PT6 Series; Rolls-Royce 250 Series.
Proof of authorization to work in U.S. required if hired.
